John Lindley & The Poachers played throughout the morning yesterday at Congleton Library. Our aim was to raise some money for the ‘Turkey – Syria Earthquake Disaster’ fund. Whilst fully prepared to be playing only for those wandering around the library, we were delighted to find a decent sized audience took to the chairs the staff had put out and remained for the entirety of our set! A total of £206.26 was raised which, this being a gig with no admission charge that was reliant only on donations, was an excellent result, I felt.
